Who We Are

The work starts with seeing people.

A Massachusetts-based multidisciplinary creative studio working across photography, film, lighting and sound.

Our Story

Built across disciplines. Grounded in intention.

DextDee Studios began on May 19, 2011, in Dalian, China—not as a finished company, but as a growing instinct to preserve people and moments with care. The work moved through Ghana, expanded across image, film, light and sound, and now continues from Massachusetts with the same foundation: creativity, fun, curiosity, craft and human connection.

“No one is ugly—it’s just a case of bad lighting.” What began as a playful observation became a deeper commitment to finding the conditions in which people and ideas can be seen clearly.

A wider creative language

Photography grew into film, lighting, music, acoustics and live production. Each discipline became another way to shape how a story is experienced.

The studio now

DextDee now serves people, brands and organizations from a founder-led studio built around clarity, care and intentional execution.

The philosophy

The Good Light.

We help people, brands and businesses be seen at their best, and as your business grows, we grow with you

The phrase began with a simple observation: people are transformed by how they are seen and how light can shape them. Today it is more than a lighting idea. It is the belief that careful attention can reveal the best in a person, a brand, a room or a story.

Livingstone, Founder and Creative Director of DextDee Studios

Founder & Creative Director

Meet Livingstone.

Hi, I’m Livingstone, a multimedia creative with a background in medicine, and I use that perspective to approach storytelling with precision, structure and intention.

Medicine trained me to observe before acting, understand systems, notice small details and remain composed when the pressure rises. Creative work gave those instincts another language. Whether I am shaping a portrait, directing a production, designing light or building a sound system, I begin by listening and understanding what the work needs to communicate. My attention to details has allowed me to cater to clients in the exact way they are seeking.
